Nuclear Submarine, The bottom of the pacific ocean, A Talking Whale Or Bear.

On the first Monday of the school holidays, very early in the morning, I might have seen a shiny, black nuclear submarine at the end of the hallway. I might have walked down the hallway and went inside. I pulled on the submarines joy stick and took off! While I was in the submarine I might have seen a cat playing with a long piece of string that was as long as my leg. I sat down with the cat and played with her.

7 hours later.. I might have arrived at the bottom of the Pacific Ocean. I might have swum around and saw a cave covered in long green seaweed. I might have got a  rock and tried to throw but it just sank to the bottom. I might have swum over to the grey rocky cave covered with seaweed

After that I might have seen a brown, fluffy bear in a cave. I might have  swum swiftly to the bear. I might have heard the bear say ¨touch my fluffy head to transport you back into your bed¨.  I might have touched his fluffy head and I was back in my soft bed.

But.. what actually happened on the first Monday of the school holidays I got out of bed and had a yummy cup of milk.

During Term 3, Kahikatea,Pohutukawa and Matai all participated in the Art Exhibition. All classes made art based on a theme of sustainability.

*Sculptures*

Our sculptures were about sustainability and unsustainability, some sculpturess are about clear blue lakes,people riding bikes,clean beaches etc. Some were about polluted rivers,rubbish beaches etc.

* Mural *

Next we decorated our sustainable area! We used tables to set the art on. We also used our sustainability writing for people to see what we have learnt over the past 8 weeks.

* Storyboard *

Next we had to plan a short movie, so we decided we to make a storyboard. We all got a piece of paper and split it into six pieces, in each box we put

what we wanted to happen and in the other box was what we drew.

* What Pohutukawa And Matai made.*

Pohutukawa made shiny CD fish they shined as bright as diamonds. They also made colorful clay pots, they had many different colors. Matai made beautiful colorful spiral bottle art. They also made brown and orange rusted art.

* Conclusion *

In conclusion I think Kahikatea could've made the area more brighter like Matai´s.

1850 vs 2017 FASHION

On Wednesday the 10th of May 2017 Kahikatea travelled to Ferrymead to learn about the 1850s and see what is different to 2017.

1850s Fashion!

In the 1850s dresses were made out of many materials like cotton,lace and velvet. Girls had to wear dresses they had no choice. The 1850 dresses were very inflexible to put on so the women had to have someone around to help them get dressed.Mens clothes were very different to women's clothes they had to wear suits , with hats that looked like berets.Women and men's clothes are very different to now :)

2017 Fashion!

2017 fashion is very different to now the women’s dresses are very crazy it’s not like a plain white dress with black polka dots.2017 has changed the fashion to big black dress with a very gigantic bow , that’s how crazy I mean 2017 has changed 1850s fashion.2017 fashion is not plain insane.2017

has LOTS I mean LOTS of materials like denim,cotton,flannel,madras.

Conclusion..

Therefore Ferrymead is a great place for kids to learn about the 1850s or known as the olden days, Ferrymead is definitely a great place to go to during the weekends! I definitely want to go back one more time.

Pigeon Donut?

Pigeon Donut :D

One day there was a pigeon named “Bob”. He saw a box full of chocolate sprinkle donuts (YUMM) He waddled over to the donuts tapping the box with his orange beck , He circled around it making sure no one will steal it. He finally opened up the box hearing a majestic sound his face was stuck to the box ,A man walked past but the pigeon was distracted with the donuts the man grabbed the pigeon and the poor pigeon was still very frozen. This man looked very scary he took the pigeon into his car and  they ZOOMED off , they arrived at their destination a donut factory.  gasp  maybe the man was giving him 100,000 donuts. The man took the pigeon into the making area (This part got really suspicious) the man grabbed the pigeon and   put the pigeon down by the knives! The man put gloves on and put the pigeon into the bowl (Beep)  the sound of the button , Bob went in the spinning machine with the flour,sugar and many more ingredients to make the dough.Spinning for ages getting dizzy the dough was finally made. the man tipped the dough into a giant bowl mixing the dough , he put the mushy dough into the machine where they put the holes in the dough.

Gasp -  He came out OMG He’s ALIVE! He waddled around with little pieces of dough on him.The man was angry bob flew out just before the man could grab him, what a happy ending bob :D
