Ella West Visit

Today we had a special visit from Ella West.

Ella West is a New Zealand author who is widely known for her book Night Vision.

Ella came in today to talk about her two books Night Vision & Rain Fall. 

Ella started writing her book ( Night Vision ) in 2011. Night Vision is about a girl with Xeroderma pigmentosum (XP). At night she would go to her parent's farm that had a forest. She had Night Vision Goggles with her so she could see better in the dark. While she was exploring the forest, she witnesses something that could get her into a lot of trouble. Night Vision is based in Ashburton, it was originally going to be based in Christchurch. 

Rain Fall is about a girls father that is a train driver that takes the coal from the mines. Her father and thousands of people are at risk of losing their jobs. 

Ella says that her goal every day is to write at least 1000 words. Her books have at least 50,000 words. 50,000 is her go-to goal. It takes her up to 1 year to write one book
