( Period One )
My class had Kiwi Can/Kaha straight after junior assembly. So we weren’t there for the first period.

( Period Two )
We took out our chromebooks (or iPads) and wrote about: Cost/where from, What the plant needs and recipes for the seeds we were researching.

( Period Three )
After lunch we gathered in J6 + J7 and talked about different seeds we could plant in Autumn. We wrote down:
  • Corn, Peas, Brussel Sprouts, Cabbage, Carrots, Onions, Garlic, Egg plant, Lettuce, Beetroot, Asparagus, Broccoli, Radishes and Spinach.

After talking about what seeds we could plant, Mr Mitchell brung out a whole lot of seed packets and looked on the back to make sure it had the season: Autumn written on the back.

He later said to go outside and sit down on the grass, in front of the playground. He gave us egg cartons some gone 1,2 or even 3!

We gathered our seleves into groups of three or two. No more than one.

I was in a group with Sapphire, Liyah and myself (Kahciar)

Whaea Jo opened the soil bag slowly with a knife so the dust didn’t go everywhere and if we did inhale it we could die. Mark came with a big jug filled with water and poured it onto the soil.

Whaea Jo came with plastic spoons, cups and plates so we weren’t all squished next to the soil. We started packing down the soil.

( Period Four )
By the time the bell rang we finished packing the soil down. The students came back from their activities and put themselves into group We walked back into J6 + J7 and Mr.Tisch, Whaea Jo and Mark had different packs of seeds.
I went to Mr.Tisch to get the seeds for Cabbage, Sapphire also went to Mr.Tisch to get seeds for Silver Beet.

( We had two egg cartons so Liyah and I were working on one tray and Sapphire was working on the other )

When we finished putting the seeds in we sat the out back. Now, we are now doing our blogs.
